Despite the fact that security through obscurity has been demonstrated time and again to not work, we still get requests on how to change the login banner, i.e., from something similar to this:
220-localhost NcFTPd Server (licensed copy) ready.To something obfuscated, such as:
220-FTP Server ready.
Starting with NcFTPd 2.7.0, you can do this by setting this option to the text you want to use. However, this option only takes effect on a licensed unlimited-user version of NcFTPd. This option is disabled for the other license types, such as licensed 50-user versions, educational, or personal licenses.
